I was lured into the lucrative hobby of coin collecting after hearing the memo about the Great American Coin Hunt and West Point quarters in December of 2019. When I first got started searching for collectible coins, I became more ecstatic as I made discoveries for myself. Who doesn’t love a good treasure hunt?

Furthermore, I invested in the coin examination supplies necessary for identifying coin errors and varieties. Essentially, I started writing this blog about my experiences of finding, researching, and identifying coin errors and varieties found in circulation.

Interacting with and learning from others in the coin industry has for the most part been a pleasant experience for me. However, coin collecting books are still very helpful references, and examining coins is a peaceful activity.

Join coin groups, forums, and communities, and go to all the coin shows scheduled near you. Whatever you decide to do with what you find, enjoy the hunt!

Great American Coin Hunt the Largest Treasure Hunt of All Time

For instance, a 2007-P 25C Washington State quarter graded MS69, sold at auction for $650.00. Furthermore, MS70 is the highest grade any coin can receive.
