2009 Northern Mariana Islands Quarter Errors, Varieties, and Values

2009 Northern Mariana Islands quarter errors and varieties are collectible coins.  For instance, observe the “glacier” die markings in the form of a die break on this 2009 quarter.  Moreover, arrows note the die break at the front of the boat.  

Doubled Die Varieties

Furthermore, 2009 P Northern Mariana Islands doubled die variety quarters are available via doubleddie.com.  In other words, look for doubling on the branches of the palm trees. 

You’ll need a coin microscope to see the doubling.  Also look for it under Washington’s ear.   This coin is supposed to weighs 3.7 grams.  A coin scale will help detect wrong planchet errors.

Finding Rare 2009 Quarters

The best chance of finding rare uncirculated quarter errors and varieties is by searching through original wrapped rolls.

Additionally, examining 2009 mint sets ensures a mint state grade specimen.  These quarters sell for five dollars and up in raw condition via ebayDon’t forget to look for special strike satin finish state quarters!

2009 Northern Mariana Islands Quarter Values

Furthermore, 2009 Mariana Islands quarters don’t have to be a variety or error to be valuable. For instance, a 2009-P Mariana Islands quarter graded MS68, sold for $2000.00.

Furthermore, a 2009-D Mariana Islands quarter graded MS69, sold for $1,410.00. Additionally, a 2009-S 25C Mariana Islands silver quarter graded PR70DCAM, sold for $95.00.

Moreover, just over 35,000,000 of these quarters were minted.  The Mariana Islands quarter is the sixth and final in the 2009 District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarters Program.

1999 Delaware State quarter errors and varieties are collectible coins.  For instance, this 1999 quarter famously displays the Spitting Horse quarter error.  It is a 1999 p quarter.  However, this error may be found on 1999 quarters from all the mints.

Furthermore, this error got the name for a die crack displaying from the rim to the horse’s mouth.  Quarters like this sometimes sell for $35.00 or more in raw condition on ebay.  Scroll down and click on sold to see the sold listings.

Furthermore, ANACS and NGC are two inexpensive grading companies as options for those on a budget that wanting to get their coins attributed, graded, and encapsulated.  The condition of the coins, and the prominence of errors or anomalies on them. contributes to their increased value.

Additionally, this quarter released in 1999. It represents The First State and celebrates Caesar Rodney’s historic horseback ride in 1776. – usmint.gov

Furthermore, a 1999-P 25C Delaware State quarter graded MS66, sold at auction for $4,888.00.  One graded MS69 has an estimated price guide value of $14,000!  Moreover, a 1999-D 25C Delaware state quarter graded MS64, sold at auction for $1,380.00.

Additionally, a Delaware state quarter graded MS69 has an estimated value of $9,500.  Those quarter dollar coins are valuable strictly based on the condition of the coin and are not the famous spitting horse quarter.  Check out other coin error lists here.

Doubled Dies

Moreover, the coin with the lowest population of the highest grade gets the greater value.  In other words, that’s why it’s recommended to buy original wrapped rolls to search for obtaining mint state grade coins.  Keep in mind, both 1999 P and 1999 D Delaware State Quarters display doubled dies. For instance, images for comparison are available at doubleddie.com.  Remember to consider the condition of the quarter.  Those in mint state grades are the most valuable quarters.  However, those in low grades may still sell.  Additionally, searching 1999 mint sets ensures a mint state grade specimen.
