Buying & Selling Coins

Buying, Selling, & Pawning Coins

When it comes to buying, selling, & pawning coins, be honest about your motive.  Recently someone reached out to me with a very common question, asking “Do you buy coins?”  The were looking to get money now.  When I’m not interested, I link them to other options.

Moreover, I primarily partake in coin roll hunting, examining, and gathering research to write about the coin I’ve found.  However, that’s not to say you can’t easily earn and make quick cash fast by selling coins online.

Building Relationships

Connecting or linking people seeking answers about selling their coins to genuine coin dealers on the web, enabled me to build and keep a helpful rapport.  If you go into this niche or any other, always mind your manners.  Thus far, the best advice I’ve been given is that it’s best in the long term to build relationships with others in the industry.  Furthermore, get your coins seen by as many eyes as possible for more than one opinion.  That’s the concept of networking.

Buying & Selling Coins

Additionally, any seeking to sell coins online should keyword search “how to sell coins online” read, learn, and apply!  Links to Amazon, or Ebay, and other websites not advertised are resourceful informational guides.  Furthermore, checking the sold listings of any coin using descriptive details of each coin, will give you an idea of current market values of any coin.

Additionally, coins that are graded and slabbed are able to be consigned with companies like Heritage Auctions, Great Collections, PCGS, or Stacks & Bowers.  Do a keyword search of “coin auctions near me,” and your search engine browser will link you to whatever is closest to your location.   Additionally, auction companies such as Great Collections  offer instant cash advances, and will front money for  raw and graded coins.

Furthermore, joining buy, sell, or trade groups enables coin collectors and dealers to connect with each other.  As long as you’re honest, it’s an easy way to make money online, because coins are just some of the many different items to sell online.  Build your reputation to gain success!

Coin Investing

Additionally, some list their coins for sale directly through coin groups. However, it’s important to be cautious and practice safety first when dealing with strangers you interact with online.  Do not settle for exchanging in just any public place.  If you do go that route, always meet at your local police station or nearest coin show.  Furthermore, if doing business by mail, then buy insurance on your package at the post office.  Protect your item because it is your product.

Additionally, many groups are created by legitimate coin shop dealers. Moreover,  they enable you to list your to sell or trade too.  However, remember that manners matter, so obey the rules.  You don’t want to get booted from any coin community.

Pawning Coins

Maybe you’re a coin collector who doesn’t wish to sell your coin collection at all, but may endure a situation when you need money fast.  These collectors are bright and prefer the option of pawning their coins instead of outright selling them.  This option buys them time while helping them deal with any cash related emergencies.

“A huge appeal to pawning something is the fact that you get your money almost immediately. There’s no wait, you don’t have to list or advertise, and you leave with cash in hand.”    This is the option when you know what you’ve got and need to get cash now.   Another option to get money quickly is to apply for a loan online.

Furthermore, when it comes to coins it’s not been so much about selling what I find, or buying them.  It’s been about the thrill of the hunt, and the joy of writing about what I’ve found.  I also do my best to link other finders, dealers, and collectors in the precious metals industry to one another.  That’s just my thing.

Furthermore, I became a fan of coin roll hunting after the West Point Mint quarters release.  The Great American Coin Hunt not only attracted my attention but that of a new generation of collectors.
