Machine Doubled Coins

Machine doubled coins aren’t considered valuable by some numismatists.  However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a market for them.  Furthermore, as long as you upload clear images, and give an honest depiction in the description when you list your coin for sale online, you may potentially profit.

Moreover, coin collectors collect specific types of coins.  For instance, doubled die obverse and reverse variety coins.   Furthermore, coins with, clipped planchets, and struck through errors, are the most commonly searched for.  Machine doubled coins are not only easier to find, but also inexpensive to own.

Furthermore, expect that you won’t find these types of coins for sale at your local coin shop, or in any major coin auctions.  It’s evident however, machine doubled coins sell on Ebay.

Additionally, the profit earned from machine doubled coins suggest it’s not about a doubled die.  However, it is the unique appearance of a coin displaying doubling that is appealing to the eye.

“Machine doubling is said to be the result of vibration or instability affecting the die, die assembly, or press frame.  Furthermore, a coin sticking to the anvil die during ejection (“ejection doubling,”) is the cause.   There are three basic forms of machine doubling.”   Learn more about the specific types from error-ref.com
